Executive Director

Dr. Peetla Bharath Kumar

Executive Director, Renacare. Clinical leader and healthcare strategist — redefining kidney care through ethics, protocol, and scale.

Profile

Physician. Strategist. Architect of standardized kidney care.

Dr. Peetla Bharath Kumar is a forward-looking doctor and strategic healthcare leader committed to redefining kidney care in India. As the Executive Director of Renacare, he combines deep clinical insight with bold institutional vision to expand standardized dialysis and comprehensive nephrology services across the country.

His mandate spans clinical governance, protocol design, multi-centre operations, and the build-out of India's leading home hemodialysis programme. The work is simple to state and hard to execute: one protocol, every centre, every session — without compromise.

Message from the Executive Director

Why we built Renacare. Why it has to be this way.

At Renacare, our journey began with a powerful belief: every individual with kidney disease deserves ethical, protocol-driven care delivered with clinical precision and personal attention. As both physician and Executive Director, I've witnessed the gap between what kidney patients need and what most centres deliver. Renacare exists to close that gap.

The model is uncomplicated. Every dialysis session is supervised by a qualified nephrologist. Protocols are standardized across centres so a patient walking into our Sector 37 unit gets the same clinical discipline as a patient at Cribs Hospital or Mahanandan Super Speciality. We invest in technology — online HDF, ultrapure RO water, single-use high-flux dialysers — not as marketing add-ons but as baseline standards.

We pioneered India's leading Home Hemodialysis Programme during the COVID pandemic — when patients couldn't reach hospitals, we brought hospital-grade dialysis into their homes. That programme has now become a benchmark for what home renal care can look like, supported by remote nephrologist supervision, 24×7 nursing support, and structured caregiver training.

Beyond dialysis, we deliver Nephrology, Urology, and Kidney Transplant under one team — so a patient doesn't get bounced between hospitals during the most stressful time of their life. The transplant programme is led by experienced surgeons and nephrologists with thousands of cases between them, including complex ABO-incompatible and HLA-incompatible transplants.

None of this would matter without one thing: the doctor on duty. If you visit any Renacare centre, you'll meet the nephrologist responsible for your care. Not a coordinator. Not a manager. A doctor. That's the standard. That's the promise. And we'd love to show you the difference in person.
