Gentle, continuous dialysis for critically ill patients.
SLED and CRRT for ICU patients whose blood pressure, heart or organs cannot tolerate standard 4-hour dialysis. Run by senior nephrologists, at the bedside.
The treatment, in plain language.
Sustained low-efficiency dialysis (SLED) and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) are slower, gentler forms of dialysis for patients who are too unstable for the standard 4-hour session. SLED runs for 6-12 hours; CRRT runs continuously, 24 hours. Both remove fluid and toxins so gradually that blood pressure stays stable. They are used for sepsis, shock, heart failure with kidney failure, and multi-organ failure in the ICU.
Is this the right treatment for you?
- If you (or your family member) are in ICU with kidney failure and unstable BP.
- If you have sepsis or septic shock with rising creatinine and falling urine output.
- If you have heart failure and standard dialysis causes a BP crash.
- If you have multi-organ failure needing fluid and toxin removal without stress on the body.
- If a poisoning or drug overdose requires continuous clearance.
Our standard, not the industry standard.
Bedside in the ICU
The team brings the machine to you, so you are never moved while unstable.
Senior nephrologist on the case
Anticoagulation, fluid removal rate and electrolyte targets are set and revised hourly by the consultant, not left to a protocol.
CRRT-grade machines
Designed specifically for unstable patients, with built-in safety alarms for pressure, temperature and air detection.
Integrated with ICU and dialysis teams
ICU intensivist, nephrologist, dialysis nurse and pharmacist on one shared plan, one shared note.
From OPD to discharge.
- Family briefing on goals, duration and expected outcomes.
- Bedside catheter placement (femoral or jugular).
- CRRT or SLED started under nephrologist supervision.
- Twice-daily consultant review, more often if patient changes.
- Transition to standard dialysis or weaning as soon as safe.
Transparent, written before you commit.

Nephrologist-Led ICU Dialysis
Every SLED and CRRT session is supervised by senior Renacare nephrologists skilled in managing unstable, high-risk patients.
Questions patients ask before they decide.
SLED runs for 6-12 hours and stops; you get a break each day. CRRT runs continuously, 24 hours, and is the gentlest option for the sickest patients. CRRT is more expensive and resource-heavy; SLED is a middle path between standard dialysis and full CRRT.
ICU dialysis is delivered at our partner tertiary hospitals across Delhi NCR — including Mahanandan, Apollo Cradle, Cribs and partner ICUs in Noida. Call +91 98181 83957 to confirm which hospital and team can take the case.
Yes — many patients on CRRT for AKI in sepsis recover full or partial kidney function once the underlying illness is treated. Some need ongoing dialysis after discharge. The nephrologist gives the family a realistic update every day.
